Each summer
Centennial Auditorium hosts a Summer Theatre Academy open to all
incoming Freshmen through just graduated Seniors from all area high
schools. Additionally, from time to time, college age alumni of
the program have been welcomed back to participate. Depending on show
requirements casting may include 6th –
8th grade students as well. Acting, dance, stagecraft, and makeup
are just a sampling of theatre skills students may learn. In past
years we have had
participating students from Dixon,
Morrison,
Newman, Polo, Prophetstown, Rock Falls, Sterling
and other area schools.
